It’s time for a new review here on Charming Reads! Today we’re going to be talking about Boomerang by Noelle August. This book is New Adult, and it was so dang cute, I really enjoyed it!
Welcome to Boomerang.com, the dating site for the millennial gen with its no-fuss, no-commitments matchups, and where work is steamier than any random hook-up
Mia Galliano is an aspiring filmmaker. Ethan Vance has just played his last game as a collegiate soccer star. They’re sharp, hungry for success, and they share a secret.
Last night, Ethan and Mia met at a bar, and, well . . . one thing led to another, which led to them waking up the next morning—together. Things turned awkward in a hurry when they found themselves sharing a post hookup taxi . . . to the same place: Boomerang headquarters.
What began as a powerful connection between them is treated to a cold shower courtesy of two major complications. First, Boomerang has a strict policy against co-worker dating. And second, they’re now competitors for only one job at the end of summer.
As their internships come to an end, will they manage to keep their eyes on the future and their hands off each other, or will the pull of attraction put them right back where they started?

This book was such a fun, light read! Sometimes New Adult books can get pretty heavy which is good sometimes, but I loved how fresh this one was. It definitely had its share of fluff, but along with the fluff it was SO FUNNY. This book was like a Rom-Com all wrapped up in one steamy package.
Mia was so great. She was funny and I really liked how dedicated she was to her job. Ethan also rocked, and he was great opposite of Mia. As a couple they have such great chemistry, and seeing them work together as friends and also as coworkers.
Now for my favorite part of the entire book, the couply part. IT WAS SO CUTE. The night before they figure out that they shared that adorable taxi ride, they met at a bar and really hit it off. As the story goes through their various work hijinks and ansty scenes, there are occasional flashbacks to the first night which I really loved. Seeing them fall in love and reading about their adorable fantastic first encounter was such a great format and I just loved loved loved it!
This book was a really easy read, and I definitely think it fits the bill for a good summer time love story. It was light and fun, and I will definitely be reading more books from this duo! I would love to hear about some more romancy New Adult books because theyre definitely a favorite of mine, so I would love to get some ideas, so please share!
